This is our natural raw Scottish Ling Calluna Heather honeycomb, straight from our bees from various remote moorland locations across the Scottish highlands.
Our Great Taste 3-star award winning cut-comb honey is a glistening jewel of the heather moorlands for you to take home. Calluna ling heather honey is revered around the world for its medicinal properties with more manganese (active content) than Manuka honey and it taste amazing.
This honeycomb demands heroic toil. Hives hauled across treacherous moors, guarded through relentless storms, and harvested only in fleeting summer bursts. Scotland's fickle climate yields but a whisper of this treasure, making every morsel a rare indulgence.
Successfully harvesting ling honey often feels not worth the enormous personal effort, as a single beekeeper (with a day job and large family) its long hard days and a cumulation of a years worth of toil. Our bees need to be strong and healthy to go to the heather and only the best go. We are then at the mercy of the weather, and in 2024 we came home empty, as we had cold rain for the entire of August. An entire year without ling heather made me more determined to return and this year we've been rewarded well, but it'll not last the year.

Reviews
First came across the brand on a small local produce and craft market whilst in Edinburgh for a few days attending a gig at Murrayfield.
I sampled a various different Honeys both natural and infused with spices/chillies, and wasnt disappointed, so much so that i came away with several jars.
I have now returned to restock and also added some honeycomb, which i really do like either on its own, or either on toast or crackers.
